Timber focus applauded

W Howard was at Timber Expo to conduct market research as well as promote its Primer Mould mouldings.

“We aim to gather information from visitors to make sure we continue to produce products and offer services that our industry wants,” said marketing manager Claire Mountford.

Managing director Jonathan Grant added that the exclusively timber-focused format of the show proved the right one.

“People are coming because they want to see timber products,” he said. “We’re not having to fight against other building products.”

W Howard’s aim was to raise awareness of the breadth of its offer by showing new and existing ranges. These included both the Primer Mould collection and veneered and foil-wrapped products from its Polyco business.

Amongst the new products, which feature in W Howard’s new catalogue, are additions to its Primer Mould +Plus veneered brand in skirtings, architraves and veneered door linings. It is also offering more profiles and sizes ex-stock in both American white oak and American black walnut.

In the Primer Mould Primed brand, the range available in 4.4m-lengths now includes a chamfered and rounded profile and torus and ogee in a 168mm finish.

The Polyco laminated range has expanded to include steamed beech, Welsh oak or maple finish wrapped onto a core or bespoke profile.
