Apprentice receives two awards

Stephen Young, who has qualified as a joiner after serving his apprenticeship with CV Stairs Ltd, has received two prestigious awards from Forth Valley College.

He was named Modern Apprentice of the Year 2008, winning the award over apprentices in all trades, and also received an award for Outstanding Achievement in Carpentry & Joinery. CV Stairs had success in 2005 too, when another of its apprentices, Craig Kelly, won the Outstanding Achievement in Wood Machining award.

"These awards show our continued commitment to our apprenticeship scheme and our commitment to employee development," said CV Stairs' Lynne Miller.
