A spokesperson for the company said the fire was quickly extinguished, while the Mid and West Wales Fire Service said the mill sprinkler system had performed well and crews attending were able to leave the scene after only an hour.
"The fire caused minimal damage and there were no injuries to staff," said the BSW Timber spokesperson.
"Full production resumed at 13.00 hours on Thursday and customer deliveries were unaffected."
