Mr Robinson will stay on as managing director for two years and said the company would retain existing staff and shippers and give buyers "continued first class service".
"I was determined to find the right buyer and Carsten Kullik runs his business with the same honesty and integrity I have always tried to maintain in my own," said Mr Robinson.
He added that, with the help of its new owners’ sales team, under the leadership of Gill & Robinson director Lawrence Webster, the aim was to increase sales for shippers in the UK and abroad.
