Random Lengths said the market was already advancing before the storm and additional factors included the industry’s cautious approach to increasing demand and customers’ tight reins on inventories.

"But to hype a devastating storm as a demand catalyst for pushing lumber prices sharply higher is, we repeat, nonsense," said Random Lengths.
