Innovare Systems Ltd has opened a new £2m facility in Coventry, producing its i-SIP structural insulated panel system.
Innovare’s sister company I-S Manufacturing will operate the 33,000ft² plant, which can produce a 6m i-SIP panel every 12 minutes. This equates to two 45m² semi-detached houses a day.
Production speed is further enhanced with lean manufacturing principles and the design of the production set-up, which “ensures a rapid production cycle”.
I-S Manufacturing has also tailored its product process to ensure that finished panels are stacked in the order they will be erected on site, allowing quicker installation.
“By manufacturing our own products and managing the process right through to erection on site, we can eliminate the risk factor for our customers,” said Andrew Orriss, Innovare and I-S Manufacturing managing director.
“Every aspect of our production process is geared to satisfy our customer’s requirements.”
The i-SIP panel system uses OSB and an expanded polystyrene core to ensure to produce a building system BRE-tested, BBA-approved and in line with the Code for Sustainable Homes.
i-SIP panels were used throughout the construction of the factory’s offices, a part of Innovare Systems commitment to reducing its impact on the environment.
