Stuart McKill, timber managing director of parent company Saint-Gobain Building Distribution, said the merchant community was an important customer group for International Timber and “we are looking forward to playing a full part in the BMF, particularly within the recently launched Timber Forum”.
BMF managing director John Newcomb welcomed International Timber and said it was encouraging that major suppliers were responding to the Timber Forum so quickly.
“The establishment of BMF’s Timber Forum gives merchants and suppliers operating in this sector an environment to discuss common issues and share best practice that will help to develop the market,” he said.
