The in-house show represented a major change in SCM’s exhibition plans, after it decided against taking part in the Technodomus show – which was cancelled this year – while SCM companies CMS Group-Balestrini and Superfici-Elmag will also be appearing at the Xylexpo fair in Milan on May 13-17.

The 80,000m2 show saw the presentation of more than 80 technological solutions in four themes – furniture, doors and windows, timber housing and craftsman technology.

“The success exceeded even our most optimistic forecasts,” said SCM Group CEO Andrea Aureli. “We were expecting 2,000 guests, but more than double that number turned up.”

SCM also said it had achieved important results in the industrial and commercial reorganisation of the group.
