In his new role as investment forester, Mr Pelly will assess forests, carrying out ground inspections, producing cash flow appraisals and working with solicitors to assist with forest purchases for clients.
He will also identify key market opportunities and potential for new planting.
Mr Pelly, who is based in Scotland, has an MA in Economics from Aberdeen University and an MSc in Forestry from Bangor. He previously worked for forestry agent John Clegg & Co and also has had practical experience including conservation work for the Estonian Fund for Nature and the Icelandic Environment Agency.
