Two new documents on round timber in construction, commissioned by the Forestry Commission and prepared by TRADA Technology Ltd, are now available from askTRADA.
Round timber in construction: An introduction gives an outline of the history of this form of building from log construction to pole barns and bridges.
Round timber in construction: Notes for structural design has been designed on a “product specification” model and gives a technical background and references to assist structural engineers.
The documents are available in the askTRADA library and can be accessed online only by TRADA members and registered users of the site.
