The event, which takes place from 1.30pm, will feature fund-raising for the Timber Trades Benevolent Society (TTBS), an online Networking Lounge, industry Covid-19 response film and our long-running Trader of the Year awards categories, rewarding different areas of the timber products supply chain such as softwood, hardwood, panel products, structural timber systems, joinery and merchanting.
It will also recognise small timber businesses and culminate in the Timber Trader of the Year prize, sponsored by the UK Timber Trade Federation. Combilift is the Headline Sponsor of the TTJ Awards 2020.
Other features will include a focus on timber’s key low carbon credentials and a project by the American Hardwood Export Council/ Benchmark Furniture / Design Museum which celebrates working from home.
“So many events have understandably been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus,” said TTJ editor Stephen Powney. “We want to offer the timber products industries a way of safely coming together this year, networking via our online Networking Lounge and celebrating all that is good about the sector.
