The 23rd TTJ Awards will take place on 13th September 2019 at Hilton Bankside Hotel, London.The awards recognise the achievements of the Timber Trade Industry in 2019.
Companies can enter 9 categories assessed by our judging panel. Details of this year's judged categories can be found on the tab above along with the entry guidelines.
In a new digital voting campaign this year, companies can also nominate their choice of Best in Class supplier across 8 categories. Voting is open to customers who buy timber products right down the supply chain from builders, specifiers, joinery firms, furniture producers, other wood product manufacturers, structural timber fabricators, merchants, DIY retailers and distributors. Details of this year's voted categories can be found on the tab above.

This award is open to timber businesses, or advertising agencies, which have undertaken a campaign promoting a timber or related product or service between June 2018 and June 2019. The award covers campaigns in consumer and business media, online marketing, including via websites and social media, point of sale promotion, telemarketing, customer newsletters and PR. Marketing and advertising for timber sector associated products and services, such as chemical products, machinery, IT, Logistics and Shipping are also eligible.
This award recognises and promotes the industry's ever improving environmental performance. It is open to any company in the timber and associated industries that can show demonstrable, evidenced - backed improvement in their environmental performance in the 12 months from June 2018 to June 2019. This can range from waste and emission reduction, to special achievement in environmental certification.
The award is open to 3rd Year undergraduate or postgraduate (Marters or PhD work) students, where the whole or part of the research project demonstrates that is innovative and will have a measurable impact upon the timber sector.
The award is awarded to those whose whole or part of a product demonstrates that it is innovative in its sector.
This award recognises achievement in training, qualifications and skills development of individual employees in the timber industry. It is divided into two age categories - for recent entrants to the business under 25, and more senior staff over 25, who have undertaken some form of continuing professional development.
These new categories represent an expansion of the long-running TTJ Achievement in Engineered Timber Award and recognise the growing and inspiring use of timber products in design and construction.
The TTJ Timber Interiors Fit Out Award recognises excellent and inspiring use of timber and wood products in interior design projects. Entries will need to detail the design brief, the specification and application of timber products used, any hurdles overcome and the impact the project has made. Project delivery partners including the fit-out contractor, interior designer/architect, and client and product suppliers can submit entries. Projects should have been completed after January 1, 2018.
The TTJ Public or Commercial Use of Timber in Construction recognises build projects that demonstrate excellent use of structural timber in public or commercial buildings. Projects may involve cross-laminated timber (CLT), glulam, LVL, oak, softwood or other timber-based build systems. Entries will need to detail the design brief, the specification and application of structural timber used, hurdles overcome and the impact the project has made. Project delivery partners including the client, architect, contractor and key product suppliers can submit entries. Projects should have been completed after January 1, 2018.
The TTJ Private Residential Use of Timber in Construction is designed to reward private residential structural timber build projects which demonstrate excellence in their design, scope and use of structural timber, be it standard timber frame, post and beam or engineered timber construction such as CLT, glulam or LVL. Entries will need to detail the design brief, the specification and application of structural timber/systems used, hurdles overcome and the impact the project has made. The client and/or project delivery partners can make entries. Projects should have been completed after January 1, 2018.
